Which is the best robotic vacuum and mop combo? Is it the L10S Ultra from Dreametech or the Deebot X1 OMNI from ECOVACS? If you are in this dilemma, this is the place to be. We have explained everything you need to know.

Dreame and Deebot are two popular robot vacuum brands. The two are known for their innovation. The Dreametech L10S Ultra and Deebot X1 OMNI are the best-selling models today and retail at around the same price. The two share a lot, including the 2-in-1 cleaning function and hands-free cleaning courtesy of the automated base stations with auto-emptying and auto-refill functions. However, there are profound differences that should be the basis of your purchase decision.

Important

The difference between the Dreame L10S Ultra and the Deebot X1 OMNI is the vacuuming performance, water tank capacity, brush system, and convenience. The Dreame L10S offers slightly better vacuuming performance because of the higher suction, a smaller clean water tank, a single spinning side brush, and LED headlights. On the other hand, Deebot comes with a larger clean water tank with dual spinning side brushes and is well-endowed when it comes to smart features.

The above are the main differences. For more details, keep it right here.

Dreame L10S Ultra vs. Deebot X1 OMNI Face-to-Face Comparison

To the main agenda of the day, how does the Dreametech L10S Ultra compare to the Deebot X1 OMNI? What are the similarities? How about the differences? To help you make the right purchase decision, we will compare the two robot vacuums based on the essential factors considered when buying robot vacuums, from the design to cleaning performance and autonomy. Without further ado, let's get into it.
1. Design Dimensions and Aesthetics
round-shaped

Like all its predecessors, the Dreame L10 S Ultra is a circular robot vacuum. It boasts a low-profile design, allowing it to pass between tight spaces such as chair legs. It will also go under low-profile furniture unrestricted.

The dimensions are 13 x 13 x 3 inches, while the weight is 8.1 lbs. The robot and the base station have excellent build quality and are appealing aesthetically. Unfortunately, the L10S Ultra is available in white/silver only.

round-shaped

There is not much difference between the DreameBot L10S Ultra and Deebot X1 OMNI. Deebot is also a round-shaped robot vacuum with a low-profile design. It can also pass between tight spaces and go under low-profile furniture, where most dirt and dust settle.

The dimensions are 14.25 x 14.25 x 4.06 inches, while the weight is 9.5 lbs. The robot and base station have been built from premium materials for durability. The striking design inspired by Jacob Jensen Studio is also worth noting. The X1 is available in black or white.

It is hard to call a winner as the two robot vacuums have the same round, low-profile design and are stylishly finished. They can also take quite some abuse courtesy of the robust craftsmanship.

2. Cleaning Orientation
2-in-1

The Dreame L10S Ultra is such a versatile robot cleaner. It offers 2-in-1 cleaning; it can vacuum and mop, so you don’t have to spend more on a dedicated robot mop.

Regarding specialization, this robot vacuum is designed for all hard floors, including hardwood, tile, linoleum, vinyl, you name it. You can also rely on the L10S Ultra to clean carpets, from low-pile carpets to high-pile carpets, area rugs, flokati, etc.

If you have pets, the L10S will also be a worthy purchase. It is among the best robot vacuums for pet hair and other pet messes, such as wet paw marks and urine stains.

2-in-1

Deebot X1 OMNI is an equally versatile robot vacuum, just like DreameBot. It can also vacuum and mop, so you don’t need to buy a separate robot mop.

We like that it can handle any hard floor type, from tile and linoleum to hardwood and marble. The X1 OMNI is also a reliable robot vacuum for carpets and packs the raw power required to deep clean carpets.

Pet owners will also love this robot vacuum as it effectively picks up pet hair and cleans other messes, such as urine stains and paw marks.

There is no winner here, as both robot cleaners can vacuum and mop. They are also suitable for hard floors and carpets, and homes with pets.

3. Vacuuming Performance
5,300Pa

Dreame L10S uses a 3-stage cleaning system where dirt is agitated, lifted, and sucked into the bin.

At the heart of this system is a powerful multispeed motor that delivers a cool 5,300Pa when firing on all cylinders. For efficiency, the L10S Ultra has adjustable suction levels, 4 to be precise.

You can switch to low power mode for general cleaning and high power mode for intensive vacuuming, especially on carpets.

5,000Pa

Like the L10S, the X1 OMNI also leverages a 3-stage cleaning system. In the first stage, dirt is agitated, lifted, and sucked into the bin in the second and final stages.

For effective vacuuming, ECOVACS equipped the L10S with a powerful motor that delivers a maximum of 5,000Pa, which is very impressive. This is also a multispeed motor, so you can adjust suction power depending on the task at hand.

There are 4 suction levels. Switch to low power for light vacuuming and high-power modes on carpets and when dealing with large debris.

It is hard to call a winner as both robot vacuums pack excellent suction power and have adjustable suction levels. But the Dreametech L10S Ultra is the ultimate winner as it delivers higher suction, 5,300Pa, while Deebot delivers 5,000Pa. It performs slightly better, as seen in the cleaning test results below. Below are the vacuuming test results.

4. Mopping Performance
Excellent

As mentioned earlier, Dreame L10S can mop. It is equipped with an 80Ml electric onboard water tank with 3 adjustable water flow levels so you can customize cleaning. The actual mopping is done by two circular mopping pads that spin 180 times per minute, eliminating those tough stains and grime while remaining gentle on your fragile floor.

One thing we like about the X1 OMNI is the hands-free cleaning. The docking station has a large 2.5L clean water tank and a 2.4L dirty water tank. The system will automatically fill the onboard tank and empty it when full. It will also automatically add a cleaning solution. Talk of cleaning solution, you should only use Dreame cleaning formula.

Besides automatic tank management, Dreametech L10S Ultra will take care of the dirty mopping pads. The station has a mechanism that immerses the pads in clean water, and when they spin, they are automatically cleaned.

What’s more? A drying function blows hot air to the pads for faster drying. There is carpet detection and automatic mop lifting to prevent the robot from wetting carpets. You can also use digital boundaries to only contain the robot on hard floors.

OZMO Turbo 2.0

The X1 OMNI also has the mopping function and shares several features with the Dreame L10S Ultra. It is also equipped with an 80Ml electric water tank with adjustable water flow levels, 3 to be precise.

As for the mopping system, we have the revolutionary ECOVACS’ OZMO TURBO 2.0 Rotary Pressure Mopping System that leverages 2 spinning mops that spin 180 times per minute while exerting pressure on the head for maximum contact. The X1 OMNI also offers hands-free cleaning now that it has a large 4L clean water tank on the station and a 2.4L dirty water tank.

The OMNI station is responsible for refilling the clean water tank and emptying the dirty water. Besides water tank management, the Deebot X1 OMNI will clean the mopping pads so you won’t have to. A self-drying feature also blows hot air on the mopping pads.

When it comes to avoiding carpets, the X1 has a carpet detection function and an auto-lifting mopping pad. You can also opt for No-Mop Zones to prevent the robot from wetting carpets.

Both Dreame and Deebot have a mopping function. They also auto-refill and auto-empty the water tanks and, moreso, auto-clean and auto-dry the mopping pads. Regarding cleaning performance, they are at par, as seen in the cleaning test results below. But ultimately, we prefer the Dreametech as it has a larger clean water tank.

5. Navigation
VSLAM

The Dreametech L10S has an innovative VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)-based navigation system. It relies on obstacle detection and anti-cliff sensors that prevent the robot from hitting obstacles.

Navigation is further enhanced by advanced AI Action that leverages a 3D structured light and RGB camera to identify and avoid obstacles, including small obstacles such as cables, socks, and the rest.

We tried it out in a high-traffic room and are glad it managed to avoid most of the obstacles we put in its way.

VSLAM

The Deebot X1 OMNI is similar to the DreametechBot L10S Ultra, as its navigation is also based on the VSLAM algorithm.

There are sensors that detect obstacles and anti-drop sensors that keep the robot off dangerous spots such as stairs. The Deebot X1 OMNI uses AIVI™️ 3D technology and a camera for object recognition.

For obstacle avoidance, there is TrueDetect 3D 2.0 and AIVI Object Recognition Strategic Cleaning technology, which is optimized for precision in avoiding obstacles.

We also tried the X1 in high-traffic rooms, and it performed exceptionally, avoiding obstacles.

Regarding navigation, there is no winner between the two as they both feature VSLAM-based navigation systems and the latest obstacle avoidance technologies.

6. Mapping
3D

Dreame is a smart robot vacuum that creates hyper-accurate maps of your home for efficient and entire-level cleaning.

The robot leverages AI and other mapping features to create and save up to 3 3D maps. The updated software makes mapping faster and plans for efficient routes to ensure no spot is missed or cleaned twice.

Besides smart mapping, the L10S packs several other cool features, including customized cleaning, where you can schedule cleaning sessions and targeted cleaning that facilitates the cleaning of specific rooms or spots. We also have digital boundaries for containment.

3D

The Deebot X1 OMNI is the same as the Dreametech in mapping. It is also a smart mapping robot vacuum that can create and save up to 3 hyperaccurate 3D maps, making it suitable for homes with more than one level.

It also creates maps faster and plans efficient cleaning paths, guaranteeing fast and entire-level cleaning.

Like the Dreame L10S, the X1 has plenty of features, including room recognition for targeted cleaning. There is also boundary marking so you can decide where the robot can go and shouldn’t.

Here, the round ends with a draw as the Dreametech L10S Ultra and Deebot X1 OMNI are smart mapping robot vacuums that create hyper-accurate 3D maps for efficient cleaning.

7. Filtration
E11

Dreame doesn’t just vacuum and mop. It also keeps the atmosphere fresh. Under the hood, it packs an E11-grade filter that captures 99% of allergens and other undesirable elements from the atmosphere.

Please note this is not a true HEPA filter, so it doesn’t filter down to 0.3 microns, but it still gets the job done. We like that it is washable, so maintenance costs are lower.

E11

Deebot X1 also has a filtration system that keeps allergens, dust, and other elements from the atmosphere.

Like the Dreame L10S, the X1 OMNI uses an E11-rated filter that captures 99% of allergens and filters down to 0.6 microns.

This one is not a true HEPA filter, but goes a long way in ensuring your ambiance is fresh. The filter is also washable.

8. Brush System
2

The Dreame L10S has two brush systems. First is the main floating brush designed for effective agitation and dirt lift-up.

Made from rubber, the brush tackles those long hairs with minimal chances of tangling.

Besides the floating main brush, we have 1 spinning side brush that reaches the wall edges and deep corners where the main brush can’t reach.

3

There is no difference between the Dreametech L10S Ultra and the Deebot X1 OMNI in terms of brush design.

The X1 also has a rubber antitangle brush system that picks up all kinds of dirt and reduces tangling when dealing with long dog hair.

There are also 2 spinning side brushes for the deep corners and wall edges.

It is hard to call a winner as both models come with the main and side brushes. Besides, they do a good job and don't tangle like your typical robot vacuum. But X1 OMNI is the best deal, as it has two spinning side brushes.

9. Bin System
350Ml

Dreame L10S Ultra comes with a 350Ml onboard bin. Interestingly, this is a self-emptying robot vacuum that empties the onboard bin automatically, courtesy of DualBoost 2.0. The station has a 3L dustbag that can hold dirt for up to 60 days for a totally hands-free cleaning experience.

500Ml

The Deebot X1 OMNI, on the other hand, comes with a bigger 500Ml onboard bin and is also a self-emptying robot vacuum. The OMNI station has a 3L disposable dustbag that can hold dirt for 60 days.

Here, it is hard to say which model is the winner, as both are self-emptying robot vacuums that can hold up to 60 days of dirt. However, we feel the X1 OMNI has a slight edge as it has a larger onboard bin.

10. Battery & Runtime
5200mAh / 210 min

Dreame L10S Ultra is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a 5,200mAh capacity. This is enough to offer up to 210 minutes of runtime when vacuuming in Quiet mode and 160 minutes when vacuuming and mopping in Quiet mode.

In terms of power management, the Dreame L10S has been designed to recharge automatically when power is down and resume cleaning after that. The average recharge time is 3-4 hours.

5200mAh / 260 min

Deebot X1 OMNI also relies on a lithium-ion battery with the same 5,200mAh capacity. However, its runtime is longer.

When vacuuming in Quiet mode, the runtime is 260 minutes, while in Standard mode, it can run for 180 minutes., It is also an intelligent robot vacuum that automatically recharges and resumes cleaning. The recharge time is around 6 hours.

Both robot vacuums come with the 5200mAh lithium-ion battery, but the X1 OMNI is the best as it has been optimized for efficiency, thus offering a slightly longer runtime.

11. Smart Features and Convenience
App, Alexa

Dreame L10S is a smart robotic vacuum cleaner that supports 2.4GHz WiFi for mobile app operation via the Dreamehome app, available on Android and iOS platforms.

On the app, you have access to all the robot’s controls. The L10S can also sync with voice assistants such as Alex and Google Assistant for remote operation.

One great feature we like is the pair of LED headlights illuminating those dark spots for effective cleaning.

App, Alexa, YIKO

Deebot X1 OMNI is also a smart robot vacuum cleaner that can be remotely operated via the Dreamehome app, available for iOS and Android devices.

The robot also works with voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Assistant.

Other unique features include built-in voice control with sound source localization, YIKO Voice Assistant, and Live Monitoring with 2-way audio.

Again, it is hard to call a winner here, as both models have advantages and disadvantages. Go for the Dreame if you want the convenience of LED headlights when vacuuming in the dark. However, Deebot should be the priority if you want the convenience of the built-in voice assistant and surveillance capabilities.

12. Warranty & Aftersales
1-year

The Dreametech L10S Ultra has been built to last. Furthermore, there is a 1-year warranty. That means you are eligible for repair or replacement. Dreame may be a new brand, but a trusted one.

Unlike many companies out there, Dreame honors its warranty as long as you abide by the warranty’s terms and conditions. Regarding support, you get ongoing repair support. Besides, there are plenty of guides and tutorials to help you out.

As for replacement parts and supplies, you can get Dreame brushes, filters, detergents, and other supplies on Amazon at affordable prices.

1-year

There is no difference between Dreame and Deebot in terms of warranty & after-sales. A 1-year warranty covers both models.

Like Dreame, ECOVACS is also a trusted brand that honors its warranty as long as the customer adheres to all the terms and conditions. Regarding support, you can easily get help from the company via live chat alongside several other methods, including troubleshooting guides and tutorials.

Last, replacement parts and supplies are also available at affordable costs on Amazon, both original and generic.

There is no winner here again, as the two robot vacuum and mop combos have the same 1-year warranty. Support is available, and so are replacement parts and supplies.
