The Tineco iFLOOR 3 is a vacuum cleaner and washer rolled into one. Although you cannot compare the machine to a full-size vacuum cleaner, it is perfect for quick cleanups.

Its forte lies in tidying up sealed floors, such as glazed ceramics, hardwood, laminate, and marble. As a vacuum, it is more than capable of picking up daily detritus from hard floors. You may also use this unit for refreshing carpets in between deep cleans.

This cordless cleaner is rechargeable with up to 25 minutes of battery life. Its lightweight design ensures good maneuverability. The low-profile cleaner head will make it around common obstacles. To mop, you only need to mix a cap of the included solution and 600 ml water.

The Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 has the same design philosophy as the original model and it is likewise intended for the same cleaning jobs. Only this time, the ONE S3 comes with certain processes and systems that make it automated.

Better known as the iLOOP Sensor Technology, it detects the condition of your floor, so that the machine can apply the necessary force to get it clean. The smart cleaner will adjust the water flow and suction power accordingly.

Moreover, a voice assistant will deliver real-time updates while you clean, including performance status, blockages, power level, etc. You may also turn off the voice alerts if you wish.

This model also connects to the Tineco app where you can access the same operational information, plus troubleshooting, tech support, and cleaning history stats. The LED digital screen of the vacmop will also display reminders. This LED display is more functional than in iFLOOR 3; it has a colorful dirt monitoring loop, showing the progress of cleaning with a color change from red to blue.

All of these amazing features make a significant difference in your overall experience!

Tineco iFLOOR 3 vs FLOOR ONE 3: Face-to-Face Comparison

Design

Tineco iFLOOR ONE 3 Design

iFLOOR 3

Have you owned or seen a Bissell CrossWave All-in-One Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner and Mop? The iFLOOR 3 is a copy of the said product, but it is cordless and a lot more affordable to boot.

The machine’s physical dimensions are 11.3 x 10.0 x 43.3 inches and it weighs 9.9 pounds. Like a regular vacuum, this unit features a main cleaner head with a soft brushroll. It is capable of picking up dirt and small debris, as well as for washing hard floors.

To start, you either press either the “On” or “MAX” button, which increases the water flow. Basically, the latter is a high-efficiency mode for tough cleaning situation.

There are two transparent tanks: one for solution mix or fresh water and the other for dirty liquids. When you push the trigger, it sprays sudsy water.

What I did not like is that I have to empty the dirty tank more often than I would. If the liquids are nearing the Max line, you will hear a tone change and it will start leaking from the bottom of the unit.

Lastly, the iFLOOR 3 arrives with a self-cleaning tray that also serves as its docking station.

FLOOR ONE S3

The FLOOR ONE S3 also measures 11.3 x 10 x 43.3 inches and weighs 9.9 pounds. This model has a similar design as the original iFLOOR 3. Being black also gives the device a more sophisticated look. Plus, there is an LED that shows the battery level and power indicator.

The charging base is also smartly designed. You can store the extra brushroll, extra HEPA filter, and the 3-in-1 cleaning brush. When not in use, the machine will sit and charge on the dock.

The charging base is also where the cleaner runs a self-cleaning cycle.

verdict

These two vacuum sticks look very similar. The difference is only in color and LED display. iFLOOR 3 is white with black accents and a simple digital display, while FLOOR ONE S3 is black with white accents and an LED display. In addition, the dimensions, weight, and two transparent clean and dirty water tanks are identical. Therefore, there is no winner in this comparison.

Smart Features

iFLOOR 3

The first iFLOOR 3 does not have smart features.

FLOOR ONE S3

Tineco iFLOOR ONE S3 Smart FeaturesTineco describes the FLOOR ONE S3 as a “smart” vacuum cleaner and carpet washer hybrid due to the app, voice integration, and AI.

The app shows you maintenance reminders, tech support, and your cleaning history, among many other things. This gizmo also has an onboard UI, which is brutally honest about how filthy your floors are. While the interface starts off red, it will turn blue when your floors are pristine.

Instead of viewing the stats via the app, you can have the machine announce things like when to empty the dirty water tank. The voice assistant will provide real-time updates while you clean, such as blockages, performance status, power level, and so forth.

More impressively, the smart sensors will identify the current state of the floor being vacuumed and washed. Also known as the iLoop Smart Sensor Technology, it tailors itself accordingly, changing the suction power or the amount of water it needs to dispense.

verdict

Definitely, FLOOR ONE S3 is the winner, thanks to many smart features that iFLOOR 3 does not have

Weight and Maneuverability

FLOOR ONE S3

iFLOOR one s3 Maneuverability
The FLOOR ONE S3 weighs about 11 pounds when the detergent reservoir is in its max capacity. Regardless, I find the machine lightweight enough to carry between floors. The ability to remain stable and upright during a pause is also a thoughtful addition, which I rarely find in comparable cordless designs.

With the FLOOR ONE S3, it is an easy feat to zoom around the highly trafficked kitchen and living room. The vacmop seems to spring to life with a kick! However, I still could not get the machine to go a little further underneath low-profile accent chairs and coffee tables.

verdict

There is no difference in these parameters for iFLOOR 3 vs. FLOOR ONE S3.

Power and Runtime

FLOOR ONE S3

iFLOOR ONE S3 Runtime
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S3 is rated at 220 watts with a 4000 mAh lithium-ion battery. This hybrid cleaner is able to provide a runtime of 35 minutes in Auto mode.

Not a single minute will be wasted since the AI and smart sensors will adjust the water flow and suction power accordingly. Max mode may do the trick with pet hair and muddy prints, but it consumes a battery a lot faster.

Attention

Both the iFLOOR 3 and FLOOR ONE S3 use a built-in battery. Should there be any concerns with the battery, you will need to replace the unit.

verdict

FLOOR ONE S3 has an enhanced power Li-ion battery with smart control that makes the cleaning process longer, up to 35 minutes, comparing 25 minutes of IFLOOR 3. FLOOR ONE S3 is the winner.

Brushes

FLOOR ONE S3

iFLOOR ONE S3 Brushes
A soft brushroll is likewise built into the FLOOR ONE S3 and this time, you get an extra brushroll to boot. There are no differences in the brushroll’s bristles of iFLOOR 3 and the ONE S3.

The only nitpicky thing I can say is that I wish the extra brushroll was made of strong nylon bristles. A hard brushroll would be helpful for things like a day-old drop of tomato sauce. Sometimes the vacmop is not hard enough to scrape away dried stains. I still have to get down and scrub using a scouring pad.

verdict

As there are no differences between brush systems for these vacuums, there is no winner.

Water Tank and Solution

FLOOR ONE S3

iFLOOR ONE S3 Water Tank
The water reservoir of the FLOOR ONE S3 is the same. You will also find a deodorizing and cleaning solution in the package.

A positive thing about these vacmops is that they are economical. Aside from their reasonable price, it only takes one capful of the solution to work.

  • Auto Mode: 50 ml/min
  • Max Mode: 200 ml/min

Attention

Tineco recommends the exclusive use of their cleaning solution. I used other formulas to give my floors a natural shine and I don’t have any issues.

verdict

The capacity of clean and water tanks in these Tineco models is the same, so there is no winner.

Filter iFLOOR 3 vs. FLOOR ONE S3

The FLOOR ONE S3 and iFLOOR 3 come equipped with a HEPA filter. You will also receive an extra HEPA filter for the FLOOR ONE S3. The iFLOOR 3, on the other hand, has only the one installed for normal operation.

Tineco iFLOOR 3 vs. Floor ONE S3: Cleaning Tests

Cleaning Tests iFLOOR
Starting with simple wet spills, both the iFLOOR 3 and FLOOR ONE S3 picked up a glass of Kool-Aid in a single back-and-forth pass without any visible residue.

I then increased the thickness of the spill by using 100 grams of ranch dressing. The pick-up ability of both models was fantastic. However, there was little residue left for the iFLOOR 3, so I needed to make an extra pass. The FLOOR ONE S3 did a better job than the other in terms of residue at this point.

For a super messy spill, I used a bowl of milk and soggy cornflakes. Here, I moved the vacmops a tad slower to ensure they gobble up all the debris. The FLOOR ONE S3 picked up all the material in 7 passes, while the iFLOOR 3 finished after 13 passes.

Lastly, I ended the test with two tablespoons of dried-on spaghetti sauce. I made sure the stains were dried to a sticky consistency. For this test, the FLOOR ONE S3 picked up all the material after three passes, while the latter required a few more passes to clear the area of residue.

verdict

Overall, the FLOOR ONE S3 delivered the best show after each pass!

Hansen

Should I use boiled water for the wet mode? Or tap water is ok?

Richard Harrison

Thank you very much for your question! Boiled water is not the best option because of the scale that can harm the inner elements of the stick vacuum cleaners. We’d recommend you using filtered water. That would be the safest option that can provide spotless cleaning result and prolong the service life of your vacuum.

Rob G

Thanks a lot for your comparison! I’m actually a pet sitter and often have several pets at home. I’m looking for a light vacuum cleaner that would be easy in use and efficient for quick daily dry and wet cleaning. Please give your recommendation)

Swartzcop Kennedy

Thank you very much for your question! Since you host lots of pets, I guess you need a model that can, first of all, deal with hair and smell. The FLOOR ONE S3 seems a better option. It provides powerful battery, filters, smart sensors and as many as two brush rollers.

Larry

Which of the cleaners has better brush rollers? How easy are they for cleaning? My previous vacuum used to grab hair and particles like cereals so tightly and I had to spend almost as much time cleaning the brush as vacuuming itself (sucks).

Richard Harrison

Thank you very much for your question! Our team did not face any problems with brush cleaning during tests. The real users’ reviews also mentioned no complaints. That’s because both models come with soft brushes. They don’t cling to hair and let it go too deep inside the bristles. Prime Day 2023 is a great opportunity to find gentle rollers if you’d like to replace your old brushes.
