Hizero vs. Tineco, what’s the best stick vacuum? If you are looking for the best stick vacuum, but are torn between the two brands, keep it right here.

Hizero and Tineco are popular brands in the stick vacuum market. The two Chinese brands are favorites among consumers as they are cheaper than the other major brands from the West, such as Shark, Dyson, Eureka, Miele, and the rest.

Hizero has several stick vacuums on the market, and so does Tineco. However, in this comparison review, we have focused on two models; Hizero UltimateClean F803 Bionic Hard Floor Cleaner and Tineco Floor ONE S5 Smart Hard Floor Cleaner. Both are available on Amazon at a discounted price.

The Hizero UltimateClean F803 and Tineco Floor ONE S5 are cordless stick vacuums. They share several other features. However, there are profound differences that set the two apart.

Important

The difference between Hizero and Tineco is the cleaning performance and convenience features. Hizero is a good vacuum and mop combo, but it can’t match the cleaning performance of the Tineco Floor ONE S5. Another difference is that Hizero doesn’t support app operation, while Tineco comes with 2.4GHz WiFi compatibility for app operation, alongside voice notifications.

The above are the main differences. For more regarding how Hizero compares to Tineco, read along.

Hizero vs. Tineco Face-to-Face Comparison Review

Now, onto the main business of the day, how does Hizero compare to Tineco? Which brand has durable stick vacuums? How do they stack up in terms of cleaning performance? Which of them has the best convenience features? To get a good picture of how they rank, we have compared them based on the crucial factors considered when buying stick vacuums.
1. Design and Aesthetics
Vacuum and Mop

The Hizero F803 might be a vacuum cleaner from China, but it boasts excellent build quality courtesy of the premium-grade materials used to build the unit.

It can take the abuse without breaking easily, like many cheap vacuums out there. We like the compact and lightweight design.

It measures 12 x 8 x 48 inches and weighs just 8.6 lbs. The aesthetics are also appealing, and the black and pearl-white color scheme makes a good finish.

Vacuum and Mop

You can also trust the craftsmanship of the Tineco Floor ONE S5 despite also being a Chinese brand.

The cleaner is strong and sturdy, so you can be sure of its survival even if it falls by mistake. However, it is bulkier than Hizero.

It measures 10.75 x 10.24 x 43.3 inches and weighs 9.92 lbs. As for the aesthetics, the S5 is sleek and has been finished in dark blue and silver colors.

It is hard to call a winner in this first round of this Hizero vs. Tineco comparison review. Both models are sleek and stylish. However, the Hizero is a better choice as it is more compact and lighter.

2. Assembly and Usability
easy

The Hizero F803 is shipped with many of the main components assembled.

Before getting started, you will need to connect and secure the handle to the main unit with a screw and charge the battery. The operation is pretty straightforward on the handle, courtesy of the fingertip control buttons.

When it comes to maneuverability, we like the lightweight design that enables users to push and pull the cleaner with ease.

The cleaning head has swivel technology for easy turning and excellent flexibility to reach under furniture without breaking your back.

easy

The Tineco S5 is also shipped in parts, but the major components come assembled. Again, the main challenge will be attaching and securing the handle to the main unit.

Once done, make sure the battery is charged and the clean water tank is filled with clean water. The controls are also straightforward, and the buttons have been strategically laid on the ergonomic handle for easy access.

Like Hizero, Tineco is easy to maneuver because of two large wheels and the swivel technology, making turning and reaching underneath furniture effortless.

Regarding usability, we really like the Hizero for two reasons. First, it is lightweight, so pushing and pulling it is not stressful. Turning is also a buzz. Second, the handle is taller, so you don't have to bend much if you are tall.

3. Power Source
cordless

The Hizero F803 is a cordless stick vacuum, so you enjoy the convenience of cordless cleaning with no restrictions, kinks, or tangles.

Under the hood, it packs a powerful 19 v DC, 44Wh lithium-ion battery, which, from our calculations, has a 2,300mAh capacity. This battery is powerful enough to offer the cleaner up to 60 minutes of runtime in its new condition.

The F803 is equipped with a changing station, and charging takes an average of 4 hours.

cordless

Tineco Floor ONE S5 is also a cordless stick vacuum, meaning it is equipped with a rechargeable battery. You also get cordless cleaning convenience with the Tineco, but the runtime is shorter.

The Floor ONE S5 has a 21.6V, 4,000mAh lithium-ion battery that offers up to 35 minutes of runtime. For the record, the extra electrical components and higher suction make the S5’s runtime shorter despite having a larger battery than Hizero’s.

A feature worth mentioning here is Smart Battery Optimization which adjusts suction to conserve power. The recharge time is approximately 4 hours.

Again, it's hard to say which brand is best. The Hizero F803 is a great deal as it has a longer runtime. But note the battery fades very fast, so within 2 to 3 months, the runtime on a full charge will come down to around 40 minutes. On the other hand, Tineco offers 35 minutes of runtime, but it has a fade-free battery.

Cleaning Orientation
all hard floors

One of the striking features of the Hizero UltimateClean F803 is its versatility. It is suitable for all hard floors, including tile, linoleum, vinyl, hardwood, you name it.

However, note the Hizero is not designed for carpet cleaning. It can vacuum all dirt and debris and mop those small, big, sticky messes.

Besides vacuuming and mopping, the Hizero has a drying function that facilitates faster drying after wet mopping. Also worth mentioning is the self-cleaning function, which makes maintenance easier and effortless.

all hard floors

The Tineco Floor ONE S5 is a versatile stick vacuum designed for all hard floors.

Whether you have a hardwood floor, tile, linoleum, vinyl, or gunite, this cleaner is up for the task. It vacuums all debris, from fine dust particles to large debris and dirt, including pet hair.

We also like the fact that it offers excellent mopping, so you can clear the spills and sticky messes on the spot without the traditional bucket and mop. Tineco also guarantees faster drying and has a self-cleaning mechanism like Hizero.

In this second round, it is still hard to call a winner as both vacuums are versatile in that they can handle all hard floors even though they are not designed for carpets. They also vacuum, mop and facilitate faster drying. Besides, they have self-cleaning mechanisms. But at the end of the day, Tineco is the better choice, as we will see in our vacuuming and mopping tests.

5. Vacuuming Performance
reliable

Hizero is a reliable stick vacuum that is unforgiving on most debris, including pet hair. Inside, the wide cleaning head comes with a specialized set of brushes, each playing a significant role.

First is a Polymer Cleaning Roller designed to flush, separate, and pick up dirt and dust from the floor. There’s also a brush roller specifically designed to tackle stubborn pet hair while reducing the chances of hair tangling.

The brush roller also separates solid waste from liquid waste for easy maintenance. It also has a powerful motor that puts up average suction but enough to suck up dirt from hard floors.

Hizero also has a disk filter but doesn’t come with true HEPA filters. All the same, it does a great job. One good thing about the Hizero is the low operation noise. When working overtime, it produces around 60 dB.

excellent

The Tineco Floor ONE S5 is an excellent stick vacuum that deals with all kinds of debris on hard floors. Under the hood, it packs a powerful brushroll for agitating and lifting dirt from the floor.

The brush does a great job but doesn’t effectively clean the deep corners. The brush system is complemented by a powerful motor that delivers excellent suction to suck up all dirt.

There is only one cleaning mode, but Tineco brought onboard Smart iLOOP Smart Sensor technology that intelligently adjusts suction power depending on the mess at hand.

Another feature worth mentioning is disk filtration, consisting of a true HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of dust and other allergens. Last is Smart Noise Optimization, which greatly reduces operation noise to below 78 dB when firing on all cylinders.

6. Mopping Performance
dual tank

The Hizero UltimateClean 803 offers wet and dry mopping. It’s not just a vacuum cleaner. It has been dubbed the world’s first bionic hard floor cleaner.

The UltimateClean mopping system exploits bionic-based science to create an effective mop that mops floors by emulating how animals lick up liquids and solids.

Like the modern wet and dry vacuums, the Hizero F803 has a dual tank design. Both tanks, the clean water tank (CWT) and the dirty water tank (DWT), have a 0.5L capacity.

The Polymer Cleaning Roller wipes out all messes and has a mechanism called Water Sink that squeezes out water and sends it to the dirty water tank. This way, you get to clean with fresh water only. With bionic capabilities, you can expect a fast drying time.

dual tank

Tineco, too is a wet and dry stick vacuum. It also comes with a dual tank design, so you will always be cleaning with fresh water, meaning there won’t be streaks of dirt once the floor dries.

The clean water tank (CWT) has a capacity of 0.8 L, while the dirty water tank (DWT) has a 0.7 L capacity. There is no separate brushroll for mopping. The Tineco S5 uses the same brush for agitation to mop floors, alongside a precision blade for squeezing out excess dirty water for faster drying.

One unique feature of this cleaner is iLOOP Smart Sensor Technology, which adjusts water flow for efficiency and shortens the drying time.

It is hard to call a winner here, but at the end of the day, Tineco sounds like the best deal for two reasons. First, it comes with larger tanks. Second, it is more effective in mopping, adjusts water flow automatically for efficiency, and the drying time is faster. Below is an illustration of our exclusive mopping test results.

7. Convenience Features
No

The Hizero F803 is a compact and lightweight stick vacuum that facilitates easy and effortless maneuverability.

It has an ergonomic handle, wheels, and swivel steering to allow for easy handling and turning. The controls are located on the handle and have an LCD.

There are no fancy features such as WiFi for mobile app operation and voice assistant compatibility.

2.4GHz WiFi

Tineco Floor ONE S5 is also a user-friendly stick vacuum. It is lightweight and has an ergonomic handle and wheels for effortless maneuverability. The cleaning head also has swivel steering, so turning is a buzz.

Like the Hizero, the controls are also on the handle. We also like the inclusion of an All-In-One LED Display that displays all the crucial data of the machine, including the battery levels, dirt levels, suction power, malfunctions, and so on.

One of the outstanding convenience features of the Tineco is the 2.4GHz WiFi compatibility that facilitates mobile app operation. On the app, you have control of the cleaner and access to troubleshooting guides.

As far as convenience is concerned, Tineco Floor ONE S5 is the winner. It has a better, more intuitive display and supports mobile app operation courtesy of 2.4GHz WiFi.

8. Maintenance
6-12 months

As a cordless vacuum cleaner, you need to ensure that the Hizero F803 is fully charged before starting a cleaning session to avoid interruptions amid cleaning. You can also consider getting an extra Hizero Lithium Ion Battery for the F803 & F801.

Next, fill the clean water tank as needed and add a cleaning formula. The dirty water tank should be emptied when full and rinsed. Considering filters get clogged, make an effort to clean them at least once a month and get a replacement after 4-6 months, depending on wear and tear.

When it comes to the cleaning head, you won’t have to worry about the Cleaning Roller as there is a Self-Cleaning mechanism that flushes clean water to the roller, thus rinsing it. As for the bristle brush, you will have to remove it and clear any dirt and tangles. Replace the roller and brush after 6-12 months.

6-12 months

The Tineco Floor ONE S5 also needs maintenance. To start, the battery should be recharged when empty. You can consider getting an additional battery pack to avoid frequent interruptions.

Next, the clean water tank should be filled with clean water, and a cleaning formula should be added. In the same token, you need to take care of the dirty water tank by emptying and rinsing it when full.

Also, clean the filters for optimal performance and get a replacement after 4-6 months. Pop out the filter, remove excess dust, and rinse with cold water.

When it comes to the cleaning head, we are glad there is not much required of you, courtesy of Tineco’s Self-Cleaning system. The brush should be replaced when worn out, that is, after 6-12 months.

In terms of maintenance, there is no winner. Booth cleaners require the same attention and have Self-Cleaning systems.

9. Warranty and Aftersales
2-year

Hizero stick vacuums have been built to last. Furthermore, they come with a 2-year warranty. If your cleaner fails, you are eligible for repair or replacement as long as you registered your warranty online and have adhered to all the terms and conditions.

Support is readily available, and so are user guides and manuals. When it comes to suppliers, the company has brush replacements, roller replacements, filters, and batteries at affordable prices. However, there seems to be a shortage of parts.

1-year

Tineco Floor ONE S5 is also a robust stick vacuum that can take quite some abuse.

Furthermore, the unit is covered by a 1-year warranty, so you can get repairs done or the whole unit replaced if it misbehaves within the first year of purchase.

Tineco also has steadfast customer support. Replacement parts and supplies are readily available on Amazon.

It's hard to call a winner in this round, as both stick vacuums are durable and are covered by a warranty. Supplies are also available. However, Hizero is a better deal as it has a longer warranty. But this shouldn't be a major factor to consider as most customers don't encounter issues with their cleaners.
