I am glad that you have questions regarding this comparison. The water tank is not specified for Shark AI Ultra as it has no mopping function, so correspondingly it does not need a water tank. But it has powerful suction and cleans using a matrix clean multi-pass system for deep lean of carpets and hard floors.
Thank you for asking. Shark AI Ultra is recommended for owners with pets and children as it has an XL self-empty base without bags, securely capturing all collected dust and dirt for 60 days. The robot automatically empties itself after each cleaning during charging in the docking station. The robot has a self-cleaning brushroll with flexible silicone fins collecting debris, hair, and dirt from all surfaces.
I appreciate your question. Removable brushroll is a typical construction of most robotic vacuum cleaners. Cleaning the robotic vacuum cleaners and removing wrapped hair is required. The removing brushroll is protected by the safeguard panel that is also removable for regular maintenance.
This Shark model is designed without mopping functionality. If you are interested in the mopping model, please check PowerDetect Never Touch Series and Matrix Plus Vacuum & Mop Series.
Your question is much appreciated. Roomba navigation technology is based on visual localization (vSLAM) and does not use LiDAR technology. It uses a camera to map the floor and navigate. While LiDAR Shark AI Ultra uses LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) – remote sensing technology uses lasers to measure distances to obstacles and create 3D maps. vSLAM technology is less precise in challenging lighting conditions; such distance measurement is not as accurate as LiDAR.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Shark AI Ultra has cliff and docking sensors only. It does not have a dirt detection sensor for automatic suction power boost and an increased number of passes on the same spot to clean all types of messes, including tough ones.
