All no-go and no-mop zones are set in the Dreame smartphone application (recently, it was renamed as the Xiaomi app) and are part of the map customization capabilities. A no-go zone means that robots can enter this zone (could be set in a pet bowl area or kid’s playground); the no-mop zone is set to prevent robots from mopping a specific area (sensitive carpets or fragile floor).
If you do not plan to carry the robot frequently by yourself, the weight of the robot will not impact the cleaning efficiency. But if you have several stores for cleaning by one robotic cleaner, you need to carry it from one floor to another for charging and self-cleaning to the base station. In this case, the weight of the robot matters. Nevertheless, the weight of robots of different brands with similar functionality does not differ much.
The Dreame X40 Ultra comes with a dust box and dust bag that safely trap all collected dirt and dust. Moreover, it effectively cleans washing pads and washboards using hot water to reduce stain residues and remove all bacterial odors. The advanced color sensing of the used water helps to inform the owner about the necessity of cleaning the dirty water tank.
The functionality of both robots and their base station is close to each other. Both edge brushes and main brushes of L40 and X40 have an anti-tangle feature with a plastic cut to remove all hair. The quick-rotating brush directs all debris, including hair, into the suction port. In the app, you can set no-go or no-mop zones on the special pet’s zone or stay connected with them using real-time voice control and the robot's video camera.
Voice control using Alexa, Siri, or Google Home-compatible devices is available for Dreame models L40 and X40 Ultra. The list of commands is in the manual.
