Deebot T9 vs. T10 – Which is the best ECOVACS robot vacuum to buy? Well, from the model numbers, you can tell that the T10 is the better option. It is the latest model and packs several extras, making it a better choice than the T9. But still, the T9 is a force to be reckoned with as it offers excellent cleaning performance and packs almost all the bells and whistles.
ECOVACS is undoubtedly one of the best robot vacuum brands. Among its latest models are the Deebot T9 and the Deebot T10. For the record, several variants of the T9 and the T10 exist. In this review, we have focused on the ECOVACS DEEBOT T9+ Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo with Auto-Empty Station and the ECOVACS DEEBOT T10 OMNI Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo. The two share quite a lot in common, but there are profound differences.
The difference between the Deebot T9 and T10 is cleaning performance, navigation, and maintenance. The Deebot T9+ offers excellent mopping but is not as effective when it comes to vacuuming. It also has an air freshener and doesn’t come with a camera. On the other hand, the T10 is not as effective as the T9 in terms of mopping. It offers excellent vacuuming performance but doesn’t come with an air freshener. When it comes to navigation, the T10 has a camera-based navigation. The T10 also has the OMNI station, which auto-refills and empties the tanks and self-cleans the mopping pads.

Deebot T9 vs. T10 Face-to-Face Comparison Review
T9+ is round, with a minimalistic design. The circular design made wall edges and deep corner cleaning challenging, but the low-profile design allowed it to pass between tight spaces and creep under low-profile furniture such as beds, sofas, and the rest.
The robot measures 13.9 inches in diameter and is 3.6 inches slim. The T9 is a rugged piece that guarantees durability. As for the finish, you will love the premium white finish.
There is not much to say about the T10 as it strikes a remarkable resemblance to its predecessor. It is also circular, goes under most furniture, and finds its way between narrow chair legs and such areas unrestricted.
The dimensions, weight, build quality, and overall looks are the same.
The design and aesthetics are of little concern as they don't directly impact cleaning performance. For now, the battle is yet to start, so let's dive deeper.
Deebot T9 is a fantastic cleaner as it vacuums and mops, so you don’t need to think of a dedicated mop, for example, the Braava.
It handles hard floors, whether fragile hardwood or tough tile, and laminate floors. Carpets, too, are included. Besides, it effectively cleans pet hair and other messes, such as paw marks and urine stains. You can choose any of the 3 cleaning modes.
One thing we like about it is the air freshening function that keeps the atmosphere smelling fresh.
Deebot T10 vacuums and mops. This cleaner can save you some bucks you’d have otherwise spent on a dedicated mop like the Braava M6, or any other out there.
It is designed for hard floors and carpets, from thin, low-pile carpets to high-pile carpets, area rugs, and flokati. Lastly, the T10 cleans pet hair and eliminates other pet messes. Anytime, switch to one of the 3 cleaning modes: Auto, Custom, and Area.
Both vacuums are excellent as they offer 2-in-1 cleaning. But the T9 made the cut courtesy of the Mobile Air Freshener function, an exclusive feature.
The T9 uses a 3-stage cleaning system where dirt is agitated, lifted, and sucked into the bin. Under the hood, it packs a powerful multispeed motor that delivers up to 3,000 pa when firing on all cylinders.
The suction adjustment is automatic or manual, depending on your preference. Choose any of the 4 adjustments and enjoy efficient and quiet cleaning.
Deebot T10 steps up suction, making it a better vacuum cleaner.
It maintains the 4 suction modes, but this time, you can flush out even the stubborn dirt in rugs courtesy of the boosted 5,000 pa.
The T10 is the best choice as it delivers higher suction. Consequently, we noticed better cleaning performance, as illustrated in the cleaning test results.
Deebot T9+ is a robot vacuum and mop combo powered by the revolutionary ECOVACS mopping system. It has an electric water tank with adjustable water flow levels for efficiency. You must fill the water tank and add a cleaning solution if necessary.
The oscillating mopping system is responsible for scrubbing. The mopping pad is attached to the head. It vibrates vigorously, eliminating all kinds of stuck-on stains and sticky messes. There are 2 adjustable vibration levels: normal scrubbing and intense.
You will also love the T10 as it also mops and, in fact, offers a better mopping experience. You don’t have to manually fill the water tank, as it has a mechanism that does just that. Maintenance is further made easier as it will auto-clean and dry the mopping pads, so you won’t have to.
We found the mopping mechanism to be different here, as it uses circular rotating mopping pads, which we discovered to be gentler than a vibrating head.
Under the hood is an electric tank that facilitates efficient water management
We were at a crossroads when deciding the winner here. But there are some takeaways. The T9 is better at cleaning overall, but the maintenance requirements are a bummer. On the other hand, the T10 is for light mopping duties, but you will love the convenience of the auto-refill tank system and auto-clean and dry mopping pads - trust me!
The Deebot T9+ leverages an intelligent floor scanning and mapping system alongside an obstacle avoidance mechanism for smooth navigation around the house.
Elaborate obstacle avoidance and anti-cliff sensors prevent the robot from bumping into obstacles and falling off the stairs.
Besides, the advanced obstacle detection system detects traffic with high accuracy, making this robot suitable for homes with high traffic.
The main difference between the T9 and T10 is obstacle avoidance.
The T10 has a much more advanced visual recognition system based on AI and an RGB real-time camera. It detects and avoids obstacles with more precision than the T9.
We also have sensors for obstacle and cliff detection to prevent accidents.
The Deebot T10 is the better choice courtesy of AIVI 3.0 Technology, enabling the robot to precisely identify even small objects.
T9+ is an intelligent mapping robot vacuum that creates and saves hyper-accurate permanent maps plus a temporary map. This makes it suitable for homes with more than one level.
Interestingly, it’s possible to save 2D or 3D maps. The robot knows all your rooms, so you can choose to clean all rooms or specific rooms. Last, the T9 has boundary marking that lets you set boundaries from the app and allows targeted cleaning.
We like that T10 it is also a smart mapping robot vacuum that sees just how you do. You can rely on the T10 to clean in efficient cleaning patterns and cover every square inch of your house without missing a spot.
You also decide where the robot goes and where it should keep off and decide spots/rooms to clean or skip.
This round ends in a tie as the two Deebot vacuums use the same mapping system. All features are similar.
Deebot T9 captures all kinds of pollen and other elements that trigger allergies or cause foul odors. The system has an efficient filter, though not as efficient as true-HEPA filters, but it still gets the job done.
You will have reduced maintenance costs as it is washable. There is also the air freshener function that is simply amazing.
It’s sad that T10 doesn’t freshen the air but maintains an efficient filtration system similar to that of the T9.
The filter captures and holds dust, dust mites, and other elements that trigger allergies and cause foul odor. You can also wash the filter at least once a month for optimal performance.
This round ends in a draw as the two robot cleaners have the same system.
The Deebot T9+ has two brushes. The main roller is a rubber brush that is gentle on fragile floors such as hardwood and tough on embedded dirt and debris. We like the new design to prevent hair tangling, so if you have long-haired dog breeds, worry not. The other brush is a pair of spinning brushes on either side, reaching wall edges and deep corners.
The T10 also has spinning bristle brushes on the sides and a primary brushroll designed for effectively loosening and lifting dirt. A unique design called antitangle ensures hairs and strings don’t get trapped or jammed on the roller brush.
The Deebot T9 Plus and T10 OMNI have the same sweeping, agitation, and dirt lift-up system. You also won't find them tangled.
The Deebot T9 has a large bin with a dirt detection function. It is a self-emptying robot vacuum. The T9+, in particular, is shipped with the auto-empty station.
A disposable bag captures the dirt emptied from the onboard bin and holds up to 60 days of dirt.
One of the reasons we liked the T10 is that its empty station, the OMNI Station, is larger.
There is also an onboard bin, which is slightly smaller, but that isn’t very important.
Here again, we have no winner, as both robot vacuums come with a sizeable onboard bin, dust box detection, and automatic self-emptying support.
The Deebot T9 lithium-ion battery offers up to 260 minutes of runtime in Quiet mode. It has been engineered with auto-recharge+resume capabilities.
The robot will dock and recharge when the power is low and continue cleaning. The recharge time is around 6 hours on average when the battery is flat.
Deebot T10 has the same battery as the T9 and offers the same runtime.
It is also intelligent enough to recharge when the battery is low and resume cleaning automatically. The average recharge time is 6 hours.
There is no winner in this round, as the T9 and T10 have the same battery capacity, offer almost the same runtime, and have auto-recharge+resume capabilities.
I like the fact that Deebot T9 is a smart robot vacuum cleaner, so I can incorporate it into my existing smart home system.
As far as automation is concerned, you can schedule the robot to clean at specific times. Regarding connectivity, it is powered by 2.4GHz WiFi compatibility for app operation and voice assistant compatibility.
The T9 is operated via the ECOVACS Home app. There is also the option of syncing Alexa and Google Assistant or using the humanlike voice assistant.
Deebot T10, too, is an intelligent robot vacuum with automation and connectivity functions.
To start, it can be programmed to clean at specific times. There is also 2.4 GHz WiFi compatibility for mobile app operation via the ECOVACS Home app and voice assistants. You can also use the built-in assistant.
One of the unique features of the T10 is remote surveillance and communication courtesy of the camera.
In this round, the T10 is the ultimate winner. While the two can be programmed, allow for app operation, and are compatible with voice assistants, the T10 is the best choice courtesy of the Live Monitoring with Two-Way Video Calls function.
The Deebot T9 boasts a robust build quality that guarantees long service. Besides, the company accompanies the T9 with a 1 year warranty, so you can always get repairs or even a replacement if the robot fails within the first year of purchase.
The T10 has excellent usability, and furthermore, the company has resourceful support alongside guides, tutorials, and troubleshooting guides.
Supplies and replacement parts are in plenty on Amazon at affordable prices. Be it disposable bags, brushes, filters, or mopping pads, ECOVACS has got you uncovered.
With this model, you can’t get stuck along the way. There are always more than a dozen guides to refer to alongside tutorials.
Finding a disposable dustbag, brush, or filter is also easy, as they are in stock at all the major retailers, including Amazon.
Last, you also get a standard 1-year warranty with this robot.
There is no winner in this round, as the two robot vacuums, the T9 and T10, are from the same brand. They both come with a 1-year warranty, support is available, and so are replacement parts and supplies.

Wrapping Up
That’s it for this comparison review. So, which is the best model? The T9 is a great choice, especially if you are on a budget and want the air freshener feature and thorough mopping.
But overall, the T10 is the ultimate purchase as it offers excellent vacuuming, and the mopping system is almost maintenance-free. Moreover, the T10 has a better navigation and mapping system courtesy of AIVI 3.0 Technology and a real-time camera.
