How to set no-go zones on Dreame L40 if I do not have a smartphone?

The full functionality of Dreame L40 (also with Eufy Omni S1) is obtained only with the corresponding smartphone app. Without a smartphone, you can only start the automatic cleaning process and spot mode (a small square around the robot). There are no other remote control methods for this robotic vacuum cleaner. If you do not have a smartphone, we recommend purchasing a simple robotic cleaner model.

Is it bad not to have video monitoring on the robot?

In our comparison, we did not state that these cleaners do not have auto-lifting mopping pads, and we did not specify the height of the auto-lift. Two rotating mopping pads of Dreame L40 are extended in the edges (also the sweeping brush is extended) and auto-lifted 0.4 inches. The Eufy S1 Pro is equipped with a mopping roll that is lifted on carpets 0.5 inches. The auto-lift function helps to keep the carpet clean and dry during vacuuming.

I do not understand the feature –estimated empty time. What is it about?

The estimated empty time means how long the docking station can hold dust from the robotic cleaner's first automatic cleaning until you need to remove it. This estimation is made by the Manufacturer and takes into account the size of the house, less of the cleaning area, and a medium quantity of dust and dirt.

Is it possible to increase the cleaning area?

No. For both cleaners, the maximum value is provided in the manual. This is the cleaning time in quiet mode with the minimum suction and water flow. If you clean in auto mode, the cleaning area will be even less. But this does not mean that you can’t purchase the robot if your house is larger than the cleaning area. In this case, the robot will automatically go to the docking station for charging and then continue cleaning. There is no limitation on the quantity of returns and recharging.
