Have you had any success with the Kinect? I'd love to hear about it. So far there haven't been any robots added to RobotBox that use it :)
Kinect
Hi,
I've had some success with the Kinect. I've been able to compile drivers under OS X and Linux. I've also been able to get RoboRealm under Windows XP working with the Kinect. In the short term, I think RoboRealm will be the easiest and fastest method to get something working on a mobile platform. I'm watching anxiously for some SLAM algorithms (plug and play) to come out for the Kinect. I'd love to be able to spend more time on it, but for the time being, I'm waiting on others. :)
