SHARC (Smoky Hill Area Robotics Club)
SHARC is one of the most active hands-on technology clubs in Colorado. We meet regularly at Club Workshop near downtown Denver, at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Lowry (Denver), and on the campus of Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado.
We are focused on introducing young minds to science, technology, and engineering and are strong supporters of FIRST. Our members have mentored numerous FIRST teams including: Eaglecrest HS team 3200, Freelance Robotics team 443 at the University of Denver, Smoky Hill HS team 1861, and George Washington HS team 1410.
Our other activities include build-meetings, competitions, educational programs, and social events centered around science, technology, and engineering. Robot enthusiasts and those interested in learning about technology are welcome and encouraged to join.
Our regular meeting is normally scheduled for the last Saturday of each month at Club Workshop but is subject to change. We often schedule special meetings at other venues and events, so please check our calendar via the "Forum/Calendar" link. We try to hold a competition or other event several times per year.
