Turbo Mouse was a simple proof of concept, exploring the possibilities of using a Palm Pilot device as the “Brian”. Turbo Mouse has 2 modes of operation, line following and maze navigation. All of the higher-level logic is accomplished within the Palm device and all of the mundane repetitive tasks are accomplished within the Cygnal 8051 micro controller, communicating with the Palm device via TTL serial @ 57600 BPS. The Software on the Palm Device was developed using Hot Paw basic, the software on the 8051 controller was developed using Keil C and ASM.
