Arachno was built as a graduating project for school.I started at the age of 17, and now I'm still working on it ,improving things every now and then.Last improvements were actual shock absorbers on the legs ,so I can drop him from about 3 feet high and it'll just bounce without having anything say "crack".the only sensors currently attached are bumper switches, although i have done some succesfull tests with IR distance sensors, LDR's, and piezo pressure pads on the feet.Next year I'll have the whole year to work on it in school, so I'll probably finish it then.
Components:
- -1 pic 16F84 deticated servo controller
- -1 pic 16f877 sensor controller
- -8 hobby servo's ,for 2 DOF per leg
- -4 home-made shock absorbers
- -on-board programmer for easy program testing
