Time to Build: 6 hours
HaloBOT is a small robot that uses commercially available parts, that any handyperson, without a working knowledge of electronics, can build at home.
Featuring some fancy wheels and a special bumper, it ‘feels’ its way around, and can be easily programmed using either basic, or flowchart.
Based on the Picaxe 18 and featuring a bumper design that allows for right, left and straight ahead detection, using only 2 microswitches, its compact size and unique design ensures that it can't easily get caught, like a number of other robots do.
