Increased customer needs and intensified global competition require intelligent and flexible automation. The interaction technology mobile manipulation addresses this, so it holds great potential within the industry.
This project focuses on the concepts, ideas and working principles of autonomous industrial mobile manipulation, based on a proof-of-concept philosophy, with the mobile manipulator “Little Helper” as a research platform.
The current prototype is to be tested in a full-scale industrial setup concerning continuous part feeding within 2011.
