Squirt uses treads from a Tamiya kit and some really nice Portescap gearmotors that I got surplus many years ago. He was an attempt to build a robopet for my daughters, but they quickly tired of him. He does however make it to school for show and tell every so often though.

  • PIC 16F84 CPU (originally)
  • ATMEGA163 CPU (upgraded)
  • L293 H-Bridge
  • IR object detection
  • 1350mAH Li-ion battery
  • Non-functional (aesthetic only) Ultrasonic transducers as "eyes"
