GreenBot is a robotmower, yes, one more ... But Greenbot's aim is to practice parallel mowing.
Built from an electrical wheelchair, GreenBot is powerfull enough to mow heavy grass and lawn not really flat. So powerfull that during side avoidance testing, some little trees did not like it.
The only parts I bought for Greenbot are the ultrasonic sensors on the sides and at the front that give the PIC 16F877A all the information to work the lawn.

Alain, Do you have any
Alain,
Do you have any trouble with rough terrain? I would think with the rigid body that it would be easy to lose contact with the ground on some of the wheels - potentially a drive wheel?
Hi Gallamine, First of all,
Hi Gallamine,
First of all, this big boddy is not as rigid as you would think. The rigid part is the two motors and the black handle above. The tubes between the rear wheels with motors and the front caster wheels are only fitted by bolts and nuts, giving some degrees for lawn holes and other grass disturbances.
However, I do have some problems keeping the line strait, due to slipping. To correct this, I bought an I2C compass, but did not yet put it in the softare loop. Need to put with it a PID close control loop ... later on ...
Any chance for more
Any chance for more details? such as the mechanical design and the electronic design? I am working on something very similar. We were looking at wheelchair motors, why did you decide on them?
