  • RoboDynamics announces Luna, a $1,000 home robot.   20 weeks 3 days ago

When you can look at this in two ways, the good side or the bad side. On the good side they could help us do dangerous things, portail motorisé in witch case, they could save life's and they can do things we don't want to do. On the bad side of things we could get lazy from not having to do pose de garde corps any thing so we would also get fat and it would also  pollute the world! i hope that helped

I like your Bot a lot. The structure as well as the design was so great. I wonder if there is a Bot on social media agency together with social media marketing that will make the work easier.

Electronics has gone from breadboard to stripboard : the robot is now standalone and transportable.

    Hi,

    Nice design, very impressive!

I'm working on something similar in the UK, but my focus is more on the control software (c#) with the robot being the test hardware.

    You describe your drive system:

Motors are 12V 95 max RPM, 100+ ft-lbs of stall torque (small and lightweight, but still powerful enough to move her around without being too fast and dangerous). Her motor driver is a Sabertooth 2X25.

What is the make of your motor/gearbox combo. Do you have a link to the manufacturers website?

    Thanks!

That's a difficult goal - need reliable sensors with data used to create and follow a virtual map. I hope your programming skills are good?!

    Which competition in March 2013?

I like your ideas of robot taxonomy. In that sense all of the things I listed as robots would simply be a branch on the tree. Possibly an illustrated chart is in order.-Missed Fortune

That's pretty much how language works and is why I called my little project a robot. I'm no where near the first person to call a pager motor+battery a robot.-Missed Fortune

Personally I feel a word's meaning comes from its use. If you call it a robot and you can get people to agree with you, it's a robot. -Missed Fortune

  • Femto Sumo   29 weeks 6 days ago

I used very very small pager motors from kochi tanaka indoor model airplane shop from Japan.  Very high quality micro miniature Japanese coreless motors.  The gears are some of the smallest gears I could find in some very light 3.2 gram servos.  The gearboxes have such minimal gear reduction that the robot has to be configured to reduce rpm using pwm to slow the robot down by at leat half.

The total robot size without battery or SIP power connectors is 13x10x12 mm's.

The solarbotics min gearmotor dimensions I believe are 19mm or 25mm. I forgot already, it's been a few years since I have seen them. Too big for a robot of this size.

I might build a new Femto soon and try to fit a battery in. There have been a number of advancements on battery technology since I made this.

This was one of the very few original nano sumo ever made!

  • Peep   30 weeks 5 days ago

Another great nano! Saw this one in person too!

I don't believe the front sensor had been finished yet?

    Looks great dude!

Hey I recognize that PCB anywhere! hehehe

Well done! Very impressed to see one in action!

    Very cool!

Holy cow... that is amazing!!  It is one thing to build something complex, but to shrink it to that size?!  And such a low cost too, nicely done!

I would not be surprised that in the future, a smart weapon like this one will be launched. This type of weapon will lessen the exposure of our soldiers. - Texas Lending

I contacted Maxim, but they did not find the app note in the database :-( (i try a different way of support but did not get an answer yet). As i know they use a MAX3806 as Transimpedance amp. what chips did they use furthermore.

is a possibility to seny you an PM by this forum?

    kind regards
